In 1993 with a leadership gift from Gilbert F. and Helen J. Gates, The Trinity Trust was established as a permanent endowment for the benefit of the residents of Trinity County, California.
Each year sizable amounts of money leave Trinity County in income and
estate taxes. Estate tax (tax on the value of your property upon your
death), more than any other form of tax, can be avoided entirely
through charitable planned gifts, some forms of which generate
guaranteed income for the donor, a surviving spouse or heir. Working
with the Humboldt Area Foundation, we can provide individual assistance
to donors, in consultation with their professional advisors, to create
a planned gift to meet their needs and make a positive difference.
Our Mission Is to inspire and encourage charitable giving to support Trinity County now and in perpetuity.
The Trinity Trust is guided by a group of respected local leaders who work to build philanthropy and connect donors to effective organizations and meaningful projects.

Founders - Alfred and Marne Wilkins The Wilkins came to Weaverville in 1965 when Al set up his law practice
on Main Street. In the mid-90s, in partnership with the Humboldt Area
Foundation, they created The Trinity Trust, in hope that the community
would join them in building endowment for the long-term benefit of the
county they love.
